Christmas & New Years 2009

HI!
I found my Christmas SD Card :)
I was not sure where it went....so here are just a few pictures from Christmas 2009. Grammie & Papa surprised the girls and came up for Christmas and they were so excited. We had a great visit with them. These pictures are out of order....

Bellevue Square's "Celebration Lane"- after Christmas & before New Years they do the "snowflake lane" thing to different music to celebrate New Years. Bailey & Grammie Cherrie by the Drummers "Bailey, where did your shoes go?" :)

At the Salish Lodge at Snoqualmie Falls on Dec 23rd, there was a book reading of "Twas the Night Before Christmas" and it was read by "ZuZu" from the classic movie, "It's A Wonderful Life." This is my Dad's all time favorite movie to watch after Thanksgiving and through the Christmas season & he was so excited to here that we were getting the opportunity to meet one of the cast members. She was the little girl in the movie that had the cold & rang the bell at the end- "Every time a bell rings an Angel gets his wings." She signed our DVD & we bought a special ornament for our tree. Believe it or not, she lives in Fall City (not far from us). It was a really neat night. Yum- and we got to go to Jak's afterwards too!

Carollers sang to begin- you can see Bailey and Madeleline dancing at the front. It was a very kid-friendly event which was nice.

Father-Daughter Dance

There is a Father-Daughter Dance at the elementary school on the Ridge tonight- an "Enchanted" Dance- hence the Princess attire. Peyton kept asking Dan today if he was going to be her Prince tonight- so cute! Dan was meeting Aaron & Madeleine with the girls for dinner & then heading to the dance.

They were so excited to go to the "Ball" with Daddy

Playing Outside

It was a beautiful day in Snoqualmie today. About 55 degrees- and it is early Feb...crazy. Time to play on the deck. GG got the girls scooters for Christmas & they had a blast on the deck this afternoon

She even plays in dresses....

Just got up from her nap & did not want to turn the handle bars around

Beautiful Mt. Baker ...view from our deck

Our Little Swimmers

Swimming has started up again now that the holidays are over. We go two times a week. The girls really look forward to it and they are both doing so well. I love that they are getting so comfortable in the water so early.
FUNNY STORY: Bailey & this little boy in her class, Brandon, were splashing each other. Bailey started this splashing fest. Their teacher turned around and said, "Brandon! Stop splashing Bailey!" Brandon said, "But she started it." Teacher says, "Get use to it!" Hahahhaha!!!! I was laughing so hard. I thought it was so funny. Bailey did not get in trouble for splashing...oh...

Bailey doing her back float

Teaching Peyton to put her face in the ring & then put her face in the water. She does NOT like water on her face...so she never listens to them with this drill (is this foreshadowing future teacher-parent conferences?) :)

Swimming all by herself!
Bailey learning that her body can float

working on kicking...with a silly face of course

grrrrr!
At the end of the lessons, Bailey's class always jumps into the deep end- which I love because it gets them use to being in the deep water. It is pretty funny to watch them jump
All Done!

Bunk Beds for our Babes!

Oh Boy! Last weekend we got the girls bunk beds...or as Bailey calls them, "Bump Beds." Our neighbor was selling furniture & we purchased the beds from them. The girls have had so much fun with them. When we have visitors, Peyton would always sleep in Bailey's room & it was always a tough transition getting her to sleep back in her room because she loved sleeping with Bailey so much. So we thought we'd keep our eyes out for beds so they could share a room & these just fell in our lap. They have so much fun playing together so sharing a room has been so exciting for them. We defiantly have "rules" about the bed, as we are still a little nervous about our monkey Peyton climbing - but so far so good! This also prompted a crazy cleaning of Bailey's room so we got a jump start on spring cleaning...feels so good. Long story short, we have a actual guest room now! Who's coming to visit now?? :)

Bailey is good about letting Peyton her her "space." I do not have any good pictures of the entire bed...will post new ones soon
Peyton showing her "lip"- she is such a goofball...I love it!
Did i just say goofball? Grammie & Papa got the girls headlights for Christmas so they could read in the dark-lol! Is this hilarious or what?

Daddy talking on the princess phone...he is such a good sport
