{Meet Ms. Riley Connors} Trip to Boston in March

Elesa, Tara and Jenna- my very best friends. The 4 of us met in college at Western Washington University...and have been inseparable ever sense. We cherish every moment we get together since we do not live close to each other anymore. Elesa is in California, Tara is up in Bellingham and Jenna is in Boston.

Where has the time gone?!? I feel like got back from this fabulous trip. Few months late in posting this....Elesa, Tara and I flew out to Boston to see Jenna & Tim and their precious new baby girl- Riley Marie. Riley was born in January so she was about 8 weeks when we got to meet her. We had such a great trip!!

Beautiful & proud Mama Jenna

You will notice in the pictures that Riley has some birthmarks on her face. She was born with Congenital Melanocytic Nevus (CMN). Basically, Riley was born with over 40% of her body covered in birthmarks, freckles and moles of varying sizes. This rare condition is random and affects one in 500,000 babies born per year. She has two large-giant birthmarks on her that cause concern due to their location and size, and Jenna and Tim are monitoring them closely with her doctors in Boston. Other than the birthmarks, the doctors said that she is in good health and hitting all her milestones. Riley is such a laid back and easy going baby, so so sweet.

Don't cha just want to squeeze her? She is SOO cute!

This is Tim's Grandma, Nana Beagly, and oh boy she is just a riot. Nana is in her late 80's still living on her own and so full of life. We spend the afternoon over there and she make us tea and had two cakes for us, oh- and sweet bread (she knows this crowd well :) She was singing to Riley and I wish I had video of it, it was so cute. We had a great afternoon chatting, listening to fun stories and eating!

Cooking dinner for Jenna & Tim ...Elesa is due in July! Another baby to look forward to...yeah!

Proud Papa Tim...and so in love with his daughter

Friday, we went to Newport, MA. It was an old super-cute authentic lobster town. We had so much fun walking the streets, had a fabulous long lunch and went through a bunch of shops. It was a beautiful day. Have you seen the movie "The Proposal?" This is the town that they come to, when Sandra Bullock goes into the Internet cafe. (not filmed in Alaska I guess :)

Our view from lunch. It looked like an old house converted into a restaurant. We had such a yummy, long relaxing lunch. And Riley was soooo good! Never made a peep.

I was a super slacker with the camera....Jenna took most of the pictures....so I hate to say there are not enough of her

Last night at the Connor's. We had such a great time. I just love these girls. I am so lucky to have meet them in college and the 4 of us have stayed so close. Thanks for a fabulous trip Jenna. Cannot wait to see you again in June!

{ April 16th } Grammie & Papa came to Visit!

Grammie & Papa came up to visit us a few weeks ago and we had a really nice time. We surprised them at the airport and brought the girls to greet them. The girls also greeted about 100 other people coming up the escalator and put HUGE smiles on their faces because they looked so stinkin' cute! OH- they were so-so cute and so excited to see Grammie & Papa

We had so much fun at Alki Beach last month, we wanted to make sure we brought them to the beach to play while they were visiting. We lucked out and had great weather....and the tide ended up going out super-super far which allowed us to explore. It was so cool!

{ March 6th } Beautiful Day At Alki Beach in Seattle

We had a gorgeous day early March and we headed down to Alki Beach for a fun Saturday afternoon. It was packed with people, in fact it took us about an hour to find a parking spot- eeekk. Well worth it though! We live in such a beautiful area...it is so much fun to go explore.

The Girls ...in dresses again, hahahah

I love Peyton's polk-a-dots in this picture

Best Friends- they have so much fun together

Exploring the water...and found some seaweed

digging, digging, digging...

Making a sand "snowman"

We did not get snow this year, so the sand was a great alternative

oh boy, all I could think about was how dirty they were going to be, sometimes you just have to let that go...and let kids be kids :o) . They had sand all over their bodies- hahah, but they had fun

We met the Welliver's at the beach and had a yummy dinner at Salty's. Bailey and Cole exploring the beach

I think they were trying to make a boat. We had a blast today. I am so excited we checked the beach out! I cannot wait to go down there this summer
